Hi
1) There is no recording. The mic is turned on though, as a workaround of dealing with the SignalInterruptionEnd issue above.
2) The button in the right lower corner should take you to a dialog to open the files on your ipad.
Thanks!

So freaky! and if only done with that
software, then very nice job!

I already found a lot of useful things in this topic, but can you advise me the program for creating a video like in
Green Screen Stock?

I love LOGO...Definitely going to check this out! My college thesis was a wireless electronics toolkit for artists (programmed in LOGO).

Nice! Enjoy your time in La Douce France, Hai. There are much worse places to be than Juan-les-Pins :)

There wouldn't be much of a block, and our camera server is proprietary. The core communication between the cinder server and Hololens is UDP. From there, it would be possible to pack the depth data from the Kinect block and steam to the device. It is a bit tricky to get the UDP implemented through the stack, unity>UWP(windows store)>hololens. If you have any specific questions regarding the process Id be happy to discuss.
The last task is to map to the room coordinates. To do this we established a mapping between the Hololens world anchor and a physically marked out anchor.

Hi,
I use a spotlight, as it is the easiest to calculate shadows for. The only other viable light type would be a directional light, but if you want to do that properly you need some partitioning of your viewing frustum, like Cascaded Shadow Maps. I usually don't have shadows on point lights, because it requires you to render at least 2 shadow maps, or even 6 in the case of cube maps, per light.

Thanks for sharing, the interface for movement came out really nice. Only feedback I'd add is bump up the god rays. :) Also, I think it would look sweet if they had a slight color tint to them, but that might not be in your design plans.
The sketches look great, cool to see someone with a strong architectural background in the community.
cheers,

This look awesome. I do love me some grids! Thanks for sharing, Simon.

Yours are better and more interesting. Way more advanced, too, so I guess both repo's serve a purpose :)

Looks like marketing decided to use our point cloud visualizer we did
for CES last year in their latest TV promo, Cinder on the airwaves!
It's a pretty brief shot in the first 5 seconds or so, but kinda
cool...some of the other projects look familiar, anyone have any hand in those?

Thanks, I spent a while looking for the right samples (yes, they are
samples :)
I do have plans to have it running on Android, but first I have to get a
device for testing.
It isn't using ci::audio, for now it's using
Peter Stuart's EPS Sampler which is quite
iOS-specific and offers a very simple MIDI interface. I might consider
porting to ci::audio for the Android release. Any pointers?

Thanks for sharing!
Cool to see a game made with Cinder.

Nice fusion of sculpture, installation, traditional animation, storytelling and interactivity! Very creative.

Thanks for the elaboration. The params size is insane!

I'm a huge fan of your work with typography and hebraic texts
Ariel, and that I've been following you and chronotext since the
early days of processing
It's interesting to see the evolution of the concept, from a
slightly-interactive big-screen installation (cf the
final
product mentioned in
this discussion on Vimeo) to an interactive
medium-screen mobile-app such as
Grove.
I've not followed your (or any one else) progress on the
linux or android front, simply by lack of interest before a month
ago. So basically my first contact with Android (and cinder) was
"Hai's working on a glnext android branch, and it's
the best option you have right now", a month and a half
ago
This makes perfect sense Simon, so thank you for the insightful sharpness.
Anyway, I'd be happy to add anything to my credits,
but...
There is no need to... The feelings I previously evoked (i.e. in
regard to a certain absence of credits and/or references) are
definitely and primarily addressed to the people involved in
the Cinder + Android story since early 2011.

Hey
thx for nice feedback!
@hperigo indeed we did use box2d (will add it to the webpage later).
We used it for the collision, movement and repulsion, hit test was
done manually.
Every item has different gravity set by perlin noise.
In the shot below you can see the box2d shapes and their gravity
point (red dots)
Last time a i did use touch foils was 5 years ago and at that time
they where indeed very noisy but they seem to be evolved.
Off
course it isn't nearly as responsive as capacitive touch with
laminated glass like a tablet or smartphone but imho it's more
stable than it used to be.
I like to work with multiaction screens but they are very expensive
and can't use them outside.

Hello Simon,
Thanks for posting this.
Amazing
visuals and sound. The software you designed is also great. Are
you planning on releasing the source code for the node graph ui
and timeline ? It would be great if we could see it as its pretty cool.
Thank you.
Ram.

Dear Ariel.
I'm
grateful for your useful advice again.
Thank you for your download !!
>After a few days with cloud-mountain installed as the default screen-saver.
I think so.
If i hide the current time when the top-area is void(boring, and
i wont something else.)
The theme of time and space is very interesting.
ex. The top-area change a color of realtime sky and I fill the
space in the star.
Uh... I think it more...
I also want to install a secure application that are registered Appstore.
Thank you a lot of advice and your time.
best regards,
fumi

Great work! Congrats.
Could you explain a bit more about the tracking? I checked out this
lidar range finder, and it seems it is used for robotics, measuring the
distance from the robot in 240 degrees for example. So I might be wrong,
but I imagine this as you get like 1024 numbers, which tell the distance
from the sensor. Is this right? How can you use this then? Are you
putting the sensors on stage on the sides and corners, and combine the
information coming from the sensors? How do you find this compared to
the usual camera-based tracking setup? I assume this is easier to setup
on this large scale than the camera based solution.

Hey Shu,
I'm not a big fan of using optical tracking systems in general
for client projects due all the side effects caused by other lighting
sources. But the client wanted to use a Leap.
It was the first time I used the leap and it proved to work really
good and stable.
For the swiping we used the gestures coming from the API.

Tim,
This is really awesome.
Could you explain your approach to this project? Kinect, sensors,
etc? What kind of technology you used to accomplish this?
Again, super rad and good luck with the performances.
Shu,

Cool, sounds great. I have some updates to push as soon as I clean them
up. If you have any features you need in particular DM me on the forums
and I'll see what i can do!
-
Bien joué Colin! Thanks for sharing this and the 2 other projects.
Definitely convincing and motivating in term of what can be done
today with Cinder and the associated technologies.
Are you working directly for the end-clients (e.g. BNP), or is this
produced under your own interactive agency?
